Don’t miss out though and get your tickets before they are sold out. The Colorado Ballet will light up the stage and dazzle the viewers with glittering snowflakes, shimmering sugar plums, unforgettable characters and stunning costumes and scenery by Jose Varona. This seasonal classic features beautiful choreography paired with Tchaikovsky’s extraordinary score performed live by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra. The Nutcracker will lift you out of any holiday humdrum!
The Nutcracker is a wonderful story of a wooden nutcracker doll presented as a Christmas gift to Clara. Dressed as a soldier, it is crushed by Clara’s jealous brother, Fritz. It is gently tucked under the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve, coming to life at the stroke of midnight. Then the magic begins.
The Colorado Ballet consists of 30 professional dancers with a diverse background. The dancers come from all over the world, including Japan, Russia, Estonia, Cuba, Canada, France and the United States. They also have between 15 to 20 members of the Studio Company, which provides young dancers with training and performance opportunities as a start of their professional career.
